Tasks of the University Council

  1. Opinion on the draft strategy of the university;
  2. Issuing an opinion on the draft statute;
  3. Monitoring the financial management of the university;
  4. Monitoring the management of the university;
  5. Identifying candidates for rector, after the senate's opinion;
  6. Giving an opinion on the report on the implementation of the university's strategy;
  7. performing other tasks specified in the statute.

As part of monitoring financial management the council universities:

  1. Reviews the material and financial plan;
  2. Approves the report on the implementation of the material and financial plan;
  3. Approves the financial report.

Pursuant to Article 230 of the Act of July 3, 2018. Introductory Provisions of the Law - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1669) and Article 22(4) of the Law of July 20, 2018. The term of office of the university council is stipulated for 4 years, but according to the transitional provisions, the term of office of the first university council was shorter - from June 2019 to the end of 2020.
