Study visit to the Ojcowski Trout Farm

As part of the Multifunctional Rural Development and Strategic Marketing and Research courses, students from Slovakia studying Economics Double Degree, and foreign students from ERASMUS+ courses took part in a study visit to the Ojcowski Trout Farm, located in the Ojców National Park.

The co-owner of the farm, Ms. Agnieszka Sendor, who runs the farm together with her mother Magdalena Węgiel, familiarized the students with the history of the farm's establishment and the organizational and economic conditions of its operation.

It is worth mentioning that Magdalena Węgiel and Agnieszka Sendor are winners of numerous awards, including the prestigious innovation award given to European farmers in Brussels. In addition, Pstrąg Ojcowski has been included in the list of traditional products from Małopolska and belongs to the Małopolska Culinary Heritage Network.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to learn about the importance of developing the farm's service and catering offer for the promotion of the region and its role in brown trout farming. Ms. Agnieszka Sendor organized a tasting of smoked and baked trout, which was a surprise. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this!

The classes and the trip were supervised by Dr. Marcin Kopyra and Dr. Marta Czekaj, professors at the University of Rzeszów, who make sure that our students gain knowledge not only from textbooks, but also through direct contact with practice.

At the Faculty of Agriculture and Economics of URK, we focus on practical education, international cooperation, and the development of the competencies of future economic leaders!

We would like to thank Ms. Agnieszka Sendor for her time and for organizing the refreshments, and we recommend that you visit the Ojców National Park
and the Ojców Trout Farm, it's really worth it!
