Meeting with representatives of American and Hungarian universities
On September 29, 2025, we had the honor of hosting Professor Bernard Engel, Dean of the School of Agriculture at Purdue University (USA), Professor Béla Kocsy from the University of Debrecen, First Agricultural Advisor to the Hungarian Embassy in Washington, D.C., a graduate of Purdue University (USA), and Ms. Emőke Korzenszky, Agricultural Attaché to the Hungarian Embassy in Warsaw.
Our university was represented by: Prof. Andrzej Sechman, PhD, Eng., Vice-Rector for Cooperation, and Tomasz Czech, PhD, Eng., Prof. URK, representative of the URK Technology Transfer Center.
During the meeting, the main directions of scientific research conducted at universities were discussed, which proved to be consistent and could form the basis for a cooperation agreement between the institutions. In addition, it was proposed to prepare a broad offer of cooperation from our University and to forward it to the representative of the Hungarian Embassy in Poland with a request to forward it to Hungarian universities with a similar profile.
The guests also had the opportunity to visit the Center for Innovation and Research on Healthy and Safe Food, where they were guided by Dr. Tomasz Czech, Prof. URK.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual openness and resulted in the prospect of developing fruitful international cooperation.
