Lednica summer school
Students of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Horticulture participated in the Lednica Summer School.
The Summer School under the theme "Sustainable Horticulture of the 21st Century: From Theory to Practice," was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ program (Blended Intensive Program, BIP) by the Faculty of Horticulture of Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic in cooperation with the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Horticulture of the Agricultural University of Cracow.
Topics of the Summer School meetings were related to sustainability, organic farming and renewable resources, among others. Students learned about the latest trends in the cultivation of horticultural plants and their protection mainly against pathogens.
The classes were conducted in the form of online lectures, workshops and excursions. The lectures were given by excellent lecturers and practitioners, and the participants were not only students from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
