Lecture by Professor Yuei-An Liou, titled: “Innovations in Environmental Indices, Urban Heat Island Analysis and Eco-environmental Vulnerability Assessment”
We would like to cordially invite you to a lecture by Professor Yuei-An Liou, entitled: “Innovations in Environmental Indices, Urban Heat Island Analysis and Eco-environmental Vulnerability Assessment”, on April 29 at 1:15 pm. The lecture will be held in lecture hall 1 (first floor) at the Forestry Department, 46 29 Listopada Avenue, Krakow.
Professor Yuei-An Liou (S’91–M’96–SM’01) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1987, the M.S.E. degree in electrical engineering (EE), the M.S. degree in atmospheric and space sciences, and the double Ph.D. degrees in EE and atmospheric, oceanic, and space sciences from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 1992, 1994, and 1996, respectively.
He is currently the Honorary President of Taiwan Group on Earth Observations, Zhubei, Taiwan, the Honorary President of Vietnamese Experts Association, Taoyuan, Taiwan, and the Distinguished Professor with the Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research, National Central University, Taoyuan. He has authored over 100 referral papers with H-Index 28. His research interests include GPS meteorology and ionosphere, remote sensing of the atmosphere, land surface, and polar ice, and land surface processes modeling.
