Is it worth cooperating with Universities from Uzbekistan? II Forum of Rectors of Poland and Uzbekistan

On April 23, 2005, the Second Forum of Rectors' of Poland and Uzbekistan was held at Warsaw University's central campus.

The Forum was hosted by the University of Warsaw, and organized by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools of Higher Education (CRASP) and the “Perspektywy” Foundation, which runs the “Study in Poland” program jointly with CRASP.

The Forum was attended by, among others: Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Andrzej Szeptycki - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, representatives of CRASP, NCNN, NCBiR, NAWA, and Rectors of 15 universities from Uzbekistan and a dozen Polish universities.

The University of Agriculture in Krakow (URK) was represented by Prof. Andrzej Sechman, Vice-Rector for Cooperation, and Dominika Dankiewicz, MA, Head of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.

In the afternoon session B titled “Engineering, Life Sciences & Medical Sciences”, Prof. Andrew Sechman presented the research and teaching potential and opportunities for international cooperation of URK. The presentation was met with great interest from the Uzbek side, which in the future will result in the signing of further bilateral agreements on scientific and didactic cooperation. The meeting was also a good opportunity to discuss further cooperation with our current partners. They were assured of the desire to further develop our mutual relations, taking into account the high quality of the activities offered.
