Dr. Wioletta Knapik, Prof. URK a speaker at the congress “Promoting intergenerational solidarity in the EU”

Researchers of the Faculty of Agriculture and Economics, Dr. Wioletta Knapik, Prof. URK, and Dr. Barbara Kiełbasa, at the invitation of Mr. Krzysztof Balon, Vice President of EESC Civil Society Organizations' Group, took part in the congress “Promoting intergenerational solidarity in the EU”, which took place on October 10, 2024 in Brussels at EESC headquarters.

Ms. Wioletta Knapik was a speaker in Section II on “Sharing experiences and learning from each other” and gave a paper entitled “Legislation on intergenerational care in agriculture.”

On October 11, 2024, Ms. Wioletta Knapik and Ms. Barbara Kiełbasa attended the Section on Economic and Monetary Union and Economic and Social Cohesion.

On Ms. Wioletta Knapik's application for the European Economic and Social Committee's (EESC) support for the idea of establishing care farms in Poland, an EESC representative will work with the applicant to prepare an EU opinion on the legislation of the law on care farms in Poland.

The trip was funded under the project: “Greater potential of management science and quality through better use of the capital of the Polish countryside” (acronym: URK Management) measure 1.4 Short-term foreign trips. The project is subsidized by the state budget under the program of the Minister of Science called “Regional Initiative of Excellence”.
