Distribution of diplomas to students of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Soil Science from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree program
On September 27, 2024, Turkey's Ondokuz Mayıs University held a graduation ceremony for students of the Erasmus Mundus Master Degree in Soil Science (emiSS) 2023 - 2024 International Soil Science program.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the authorities of the partner universities and national coordinators of the Erasmus Mundus program: Prof. Dr. Muharrem Özcan, dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of Ondokuz Mayis University, Prof. Dr. Coşkun Gülser, project coordinator, Dr. Tomasz Zaleski, prof. URK, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Economics of our University, Prof. Dr. Ivan Manolov of Plovdiv Agricultural University and Prof. Ammar Albalasmeh of Jordan University of Science and Technology, as well as representatives of teaching staff from partner universities and students and their families.
This academic year, 16 students graduated from the third intake of 2022-2024 of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Soil Science (EMJMD) program.
The 16 students graduated from 9 different countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, Ethiopia, Philippines, Ghana, India, Cameroon, Nepal, Nigeria and Pakistan.
During the graduation ceremony, the students were presented with master's degrees in soil science from at least 2 different universities where they studied, as well as a certificate confirming their studies under the emiSS program.
Recall that this program is financed by the European Union and implemented in four partner universities: in Turkey (Ondokuz Mayis University of Samsun), in Poland (Hugo Kołłątaj Agricultural University in Cracow), in Bulgaria (Аграрен Университет Пловдив) and in Jordan (Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid).
Employees of our University from the Faculty of Agriculture and Economics, the Faculty of Forestry, the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy and the Foreign Language Study are engaged to teach students in the emiSS program.
We congratulate all students and wish them to transfer the knowledge they have gained to their countries and make a great contribution to their economic development and the progress of agricultural and natural sciences.
