CIRIEC International Congress “What Strategies for a Territorial and Human Development?”
Dr. Jakub Piecuch, Prof. URK from the Faculty of Agriculture and Economics, represented the University of Agriculture in Krakow at the CIRIEC international congress “What Strategies for a Territorial and Human Development?” held October 16-18, 2024 in San Jose, Costa Rica!
On October 17, 2024, Jakub Piecuch also participated in the General Assembly of CIRIEC, representing our University. During the General Assembly, the Polish section of CIRIEC was offficially recognized, and from now on the University of Agriculture in Krakow heads it.
CIRIEC (Centre International de Recherches et d'Information sur l'Economie Publique, Sociale et Coopérative) is an international research organization dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field of economics that serves the public interest. CIRIEC conducts research and publishes papers on such topics as:
- the role of the state and local authorities in shaping economic policy,
- the operation of public utilities at the national and local levels,
- activities within the framework of the “social economy,” which includes cooperatives and non-profit organizations, among others.
During the congress, Jakub Piecuch spoke in the session “Scientific and Technological Innovation”, where he presented a paper “Integrated Plant Production: Exploring the Benefits of Certification” . His speech attracted the attention of many congress participants!
