7th edition of the conference in the Science - Practice series ‘The dairy cow in questions’

On 12-13 March this year, the seventh edition of the Science-Practice series conference ‘Dairy Cow in Questions’ took place. This year, the lecturers answered the question ‘Immunosuppression and hypocalcaemia in the periparturient period in dairy cows - how can we prevent them?’.

The conference was attended by more than 530 participants from 25 countries worldwide. They included academics, doctoral students, students and, above all, practitioners, i.e. nutritional advisors, veterinarians and herd managers of high-yielding dairy cows.

According to participants, the Krakow conference has already become very recognisable. It is a very important not only Polish, but also European meeting of specialists dealing with feeding and health protection of dairy cows. So many participants were attracted to the conference by its programme, as well as by the selection of speakers, who are among the world's most eminent experts on the subject.

We were honoured to host eminent professors from the USA, Italy and Hong Kong, recognised not only by science, but also by practice. An important part of the conference was, as always, the discussions that took place after the speeches and behind the scenes.

Although the impressions of the last two days are still vivid, the organising committee is already planning the next conference in 2026.
