On September 15, 2022, the last stage of recruitment of candidates for PhD students to the Doctoral School of the University of Agriculture in Krakow, in the academic year 2022/2023 took place. We recruited candidates from 6 disciplines evaluated at our University (forestry, nutrition and food technology, agriculture and horticulture, animal science and fisheries, mechanical engineering, economics and finance). In the last stage, the Qualification Teams appointed by the councils of the above-mentioned disciplines listened to the candidates' presentations related to the research topics submitted to the competition.
Twenty one candidates from Poland and 21 candidates from abroad (Iran, Pakistan, Egypt, India, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Turkey, Mexico) entered the competition. The growing number of candidates from abroad proves the growing interest of foreigners in studying at our Doctoral School. In agreement with the Rector, there are 14 places for candidates from Poland, 6 places for candidates from abroad and 1 place for a candidate in the EUROHORT program. The vast majority of candidates showed very good preparation as well as significant scientific achievements and scientific activity. The recruitment results (ranking list) can be found on the website of the Doctoral School:
